I got this international travel power strip since my husband is traveling to Amsterdam for work in two weeks. We also need an extra power strip in our house for my son’s new laptop and charging the devices we use (iPad Mini, iPhones, etc.)We had lightning strike the tree outside our house a few years ago and it blew out a bunch of our electronics, including ceiling fan with remote control, home phone system, Directv box, a laptop, microwave, etc. (Strangely, some items on power strips were FINE, but others on the SAME surge protector got ruined). I’ve learned that old power strips or “surge protectors” take a lot of hits from power surges, so over time, they become less effective. I had no idea! I got rid of our old surge protectors and got two new ones … one for my desktop computer and router and one for our TV/stereo/Directv/Playstation.Now, we needed another one in the house for laptops and this is a HUGE convenience because of the USB ports. My kids were plugging my laptop and my son’s laptop directly into the wall outlet. NOPE! Not going to take the chance! This one is great because it’s been working awesome at home, and we’ll throw it in my husband’s suitcase with the adapters for traveling. He’s going to be traveling a lot, so we’ll likely get another power strip to have for the kids and he can keep this in his suitcase.Pros: 1) Certification for safety and quality – this is VERY important to me! Specs: “ROSH, FCC, CE certified. Highest Fire Protection Level and 100% copper wire, the PC+ABS shell is anti-corrosion and very safe. With 5000 Times Testing Quality Certification” ^^^ Impressive! 2) The USB ports are on a different on/off switch, separate from the standard US AC outlets. This is much safer design! 3) Can charge 8 things at once! (Keep in mind, this is 2500W Max … will shut off automatically at 2300 to prevent damage to electronics from overcurrent. Don’t use two high powered items in this power strip at once.)NOTE: This is not a power converter. It is only a power strip that handles up to 2500 watts.Cons: My cousin lived in Greece for two years and just flew back to the states. She says the ROUND plugs there will not work with this. Her 2 cents! Keep this in mind! Also, don’t expect this to be a step up voltage converter. This is not designed for that purpose. This is to convert European 220-240V to 110V only (not a step up voltage converter!)Overall, this is great design for MOST uses you’d need for international travel. Please check with the country you’re traveling to and make SURE you have the right plug for what you need. If I was using this for a hair styling tools, I’d just plug one thing in at a time. They draw a lot of power. My husband doesn’t use a hair straightener or even a hair dryer, so not an issue! LOL … for his travel, this is perfectly fine. You can find this item on Amazon here: item name: M&C 2500W International Travel | 4 USB Charging Ports | 4 AC Outlets | 3 International Adapters by M&C ElectronicsDISCLAIMER: I was very happy to receive this travel power strip at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
